Ep. 11: The Peace of Soaring

Have you ever noticed how much easier it is to wait when you know something's happening?
Think about it. You order a pizza, and you can watch it being made. You call an Uber, and you can literally see the little car driving toward you. You order a package, and you check the tracking every few hours—even though checking it doesn't make it arrive any faster.
What's interesting is that psychologists have found we don't necessarily mind waiting... we mind not knowing if anything is happening. Uncertainty is what makes waiting so hard.
And honestly, I think our faith can feel a lot like that.
There are seasons where we're praying, trusting, and hoping—but unlike an app, God doesn't give us a progress bar. We don't get a notification that says, "Hang tight... I'm 72% done working this out."
Instead, He asks us to trust Him.
Isaiah 40:31 says, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength."
You don't have to have all the answers. You just have to have hope.
Maybe today you're waiting on healing, a job, an answer to prayer, or direction for what's next. Just because you can't see God moving doesn't mean He's standing still.
Sometimes the greatest work God is doing isn't around us—it's within us. He's building patience, deepening our trust, and shaping our character while we wait.
That verse in Isaiah says when we place our hope in the Lord, then, our strength is renewed, then it goes onto say, you will soar on wings like eagles. I think of soaring, like peace, like an ease, the eagles aren't flapping their wings tirelessly trying to get to their destination, they're effortlessly soaring.
I don't know about you, but I want that!
So here's your Pulse Check for today:
Are you trusting God's process... or are you just wishing He'd give you a tracking number?
Keep showing up. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Even when you can't see the progress meter, God is still working.
