Ep. 13: Pressure That Produces

This week my daughter got braces.

And as the doctor was telling us what to expect, something he said stuck out to me....

They don’t transform your smile overnight.
They apply small, consistent pressure over time.

At first, they’re uncomfortable. Sometimes even painful. Not because something is getting worse—but because something is being gently moved into the place it was designed to be.

I wonder if that’s how God often works in our lives.

So many of us pray for transformation, but we don’t always welcome the process that produces it.

We want patience without waiting.

We want courage without stepping into uncertainty.

We want stronger faith without having to trust.

Yet Scripture reminds us in Hebrews 12 that,

“No discipline seems pleasant at the time… Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace.”

Growth often feels like pressure before it feels like progress.

Maybe the uncomfortable conversation…

The conviction you can’t shake…

The season that requires more trust than answers…

Maybe God isn’t punishing you.

Maybe He’s aligning you.

This week’s Pulse Check is this:

Where in your life have you been resisting the very thing God may be using to shape you?

Transformation rarely happens all at once.

It happens one faithful step, one surrendered decision, and one act of obedience at a time.

Just because the process feels uncomfortable doesn’t mean it isn’t producing something beautiful.

Have a blessed week!
