Ep 4: In Due Time

Hey friends, happy Friday. I'm driving right now, so I won't be making eye contact with you, but a lot of times between meetings, appointments, and the normal grind of the week, you take whatever time you can take to collect your thoughts and have a little Pulse Check. So I wanted to invite y'all in on mine.
A little introspection from the last week. My daughter was on spring break, which as parents know, by default means you're kind of on call more. But I took a day with her, and we went over to the local botanical gardens here in Austin. It was beautiful. Spring is just an amazing time of year. Everything is growing, everything is blooming, the birds are out, and you really get connected with the sounds of nature. A lot of times we don't get to do that.
It reminded me of a scripture in Matthew that talks about how the birds don't strive for anything. The heavenly Father provides everything for them. They get everything they need, provided in due time.
That gave me a lot of peace. Whatever it is that I'm striving for, whatever I'm working for, the Lord is not saying don't do those things. He is saying to let go of the control, trust, and be obedient to what He is calling us to do. And to have peace surrounding all of that, because it will all come in due time. God makes us wait sometimes, but it is for our good and for His glory.
I hope that encourages you today. Whatever it is you're asking for, say a prayer over it and have peace surrounding it, knowing that God is in control and God will provide for that need.
Have a wonderful week, and I'll chat with y'all next week.
